What is a "Wreck Chaser"?
Wreck chasers are area tow truck operators who prey upon people who are unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident.
At most accident scenes, people tend to be upset after being involved in a collision. Promises are made by these operators regarding the care and custody of your damaged vehicle. With or without your permission they then take your vehicle to their location or a repair shop they consider to be friendly to them.
If you later decide to have the vehicle removed to a shop of your choice, exorbitant fees are charged and need to paid (in cash) before you are able to retrieve your vehicle.
Beware before you find yourself in a situation where your car is being held for ransom like charges!!!
Contact us immediately to accommodate your urgent needs before you find yourself in this kind of a situation.
If You Have An Accident... Never admit to fault!
When you have an accident you are not really thinking properly. You need time to think about what just happened and you don't need to make a decision then. If someone ask you what happened tell them you need time to think about it. What you say can be held against you.
What is the first thing you should do if you are involved in an accident?
This can vary depending on the circumstances.
- Are you or anyone else injured?
- Is you vehicle safe to drive?
- Are there other vehicles involved?
If there are injuries you should call the police immediately for assistance. They will attend to services for injuries and disabled vehicles. Most townships have towing services designed to automatically take you vehicle to a safe location. Ask that your vehicle be brought to Alan's Collision Centre, call us for towing during normal business hours, or use our 24 hr emergency towing number if after business hours.
If your vehicle was already towed, contact us via phone or e-mail . We will guide you through the process by asking you a few simple questions.
I advise contacting us as soon as possible, we'll do most of the work for you.
